Using
Excite Search with Spiderlink
Setup and Intructions
To administer your Excite search engine go to our Customer
Service page and login. Select the Excite Search Administration link. This
section will allow you to generate a search page and results page based on
"templates" you will provide in your web directory. A "template" is
just a customized HTML page with the following line or code:
###EXCITE###
The above line of code must be preceded and
followed by a blank line. When you generate your search and results pages, the above line
of code will be replaced with the "search results" your users will see after
performing a key word search.
You will also be able to re-index your pages
(that is update the search database) through the Cusotmer Service page if things change in
your Web site.
