Using Cybercash for Credit Card Processing
Registering as a Merchant with CyberCash
1. The first step is establishing a credit processing account also known as a merchant
account. After your application is approved, the institution handling your merchant
account will need to know what kind of method you will use for processing your credit card
transactions. The processing method in this case is CyberCash processing.
2. Secondly, a Web based storefront must be designed and built. This usually
involves creating a list of your products, and services, as well as implementing a
shopping cart application so that your visitors can select your products or services
on-line. Your shopping cart application must have the capability to sum up totals,
and calculate shipping and tax charges if applicable.
3. You must register with CyberCash before your store can go live. registering lets
your store access the CyberCash Gateway server.
4. Next, you will need to integrate your storefront with the CyberCash system.
These are several alternatives:
Cold Fusion CyberCash CFX
tag
If you have developed your storefront and shopping cart application using Cold Fusion,
you can use the CyberCash CFX tag installed on our server for processing your credit card
transactions. In order to insure that these transactions are secure, you will also need a
Secure Serve account (SSL). Those on-line forms that are used to aquire your
customer's credit card information on your site need to be on an SSL connection.
